INTER VALLEY HEALTH PLAN RAISES $7,500 TOWARD SMILES FOR SENIORS Company’s 30th Anniversary Gala Benefits Make a Senior Smile Organization POMONA, Calif., Oct. 1, 2009 – Inter Valley Health Plan (www.IVHP.com), a federally qualified, Medicare Advantage Organization, is pleased to announce it has raised $7,500 for the Make a Senior Smile organization, which provides resources and life enrichment opportunities with the ultimate goal of generating smiles for seniors. The funds were raised from Inter Valley Health Plan’s 30th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, Sept. 26 at the newly revamped Famous Fox Theatre in Pomona, where attendees bided on silent auction items. “We are very happy that we can help Make a Senior Smile continue their mission of generating smiles for seniors,” said Inter Valley Health Plan President and CEO Ronald H. Bolding. “Servicing people for over three decades, we are dedicated and passionate about helping seniors live a vigorous and full life, both physically and emotionally, and aligning with Make a Senior Smile only furthers that passion.” Celebrating their 30th year in business, Inter Valley Health Plan was honored with eight proclamations at the gala by dignitaries including Congressman David Drier, Assemblyman Anthony Adams, Claremont Mayor Corey Calaycay and Pomona Mayor Elliot Rothman to name a few. Each year, Inter Valley Health Plan supports over 40 significant charities and non-profit organizations through volunteering and contributions. Inter Valley Health Plan’s fundraising efforts will help Make a Senior Smile celebrate the lives of seniors by helping to fulfill their life-long goals and missed opportunities due to sacrifices they made for others. In the past, the organization has granted smiles to seniors in some of the simplest ways, including a senior who wished to have her piano tuned, another who needed a new microwave, and an older adult with mild Alzheimer’s who just wanted to attend a Dodgers’ game with four friends. The organization also provides many assisted living residences with TVs, VCRs, headsets for the hearing impaired and video libraries.
