This year marks the 30th anniversary of Inter Valley Health Plan and here are some of the ways we are celebrating this great milestone:
The Vitality Series and Vitality Center
In March, we launched The Vitality Series, free programs focused on a “lifestyle of health and vitality” for Inter Valley Health Plan members as well as members of the community. Through The Vitality Series we hope to instill a sense of energy and celebration into our members’ lives, and help them make every moment count. The Vitality Center was also recently opened in the Pomona Valley Health Center Building at 1601 Monte Vista, Suite 275, Claremont, and was designed to accommodate members’ Medicare, health and prescription questions, and further promote The Vitality Series.
A Brand New Look
Finally, with all the excitement about our 30th anniversary, we felt it was time for a new look! You can see on the back of this issue we have chosen a new logo representing a revitalized Inter Valley Health Plan! To showcase our new look, we have just launched our new Web site, www.IVHP.com, which is more user-friendly and will provide our members with many health and wellness resources, as well as information about their health plan.
Inter Valley Employee Volunteer Week
In July, Inter Valley Health Plan will be having a company-wide week-long volunteer initiative, where every employee will have the opportunity to give back to a number of non-profit organizations, including Meals on Wheels, Hope Partners and the American Cancer Society Thrift Store. It is our belief that giving back and reaching out to our communities further supports our core values as an organization.
30th Anniversary Fundraising Gala
In September, we will be hosting the 30th Anniversary Gala to honor those who have made a significant difference in Inter Valley’s longevity, as well as recognizing our long-standing members. Some whom have been members for 30 years. The event will also have a fundraising component with a silent auction. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the Make a Senior Smile program. This is a local non-profit charity that provides resources and life enrichment opportunities with the ultimate goal of generating smiles for seniors.
Members Sharing their Stories
To help us commemorate our 30th anniversary celebration, we invite you to share an interesting story or experience about being an Inter Valley Health Plan member. For example you could share about your participation in our annual talent showcase or senior prom. Or, maybe you could tell about a personal service you received from one of our staff members. Perhaps you have a story of a blossoming friendship that developed from meeting another member at one of our many events. We want to hear your experiences!
