Inter Valley Health Plan is excited to be partnering with Make a Senior Smile, a local non-profit organization that provides both life enrichment opportunities and resources to seniors. Proceeds from the silent auction at our 30th Anniversary Gala will be going to support this wonderful organization.
About Make a Senior Smile
Make a Senior Smile, Inc, was created to enhance the lives of seniors and increase their self-esteem by helping fulfill their life-long goals and missed opportunities due to sacrifices they made for others. MASS would like to provide them with life enrichment opportunities. Educational resources and financial support may be needed for those seniors who would like to attend classes for personal development -- to take a computer class, or get the higher education they never had a chance to pursue. Additionally, for seniors who lack family support, MASS would like to provide companionship and a sense of community so that they know they are not alone or forgotten.
Just a few examples of smiles. - Flowers “just because"
- A fishing trip
- A birthday remembered
- A minor home repair
- Help to complete a GED
- Getting a piano tuned
- Having a room painted
- Taking a computer class
If you would like to get involved in this organization, there are many ways in which you may be able to help "Make a Senior Smile". A monetary donation is always welcome, but there are other opportunities to help. Donating a product that would bring a Senior a Smile, attending and supporting our special events, volunteering your time or talents, or by just identifying a Senior who needs a Smile. It takes so little....
