Inter Valley Health Plan Company Overview |
Company Fact Sheet - Executive Biographies - Board of Directors Company Background The Beginning Originally named Pomona Valley Health Plan, the company began as a not-for-profit and remains one today. In 1983, the company expanded its service area outside of Pomona. To reflect its growth, the company was then renamed Inter Valley Health Plan. Service To Seniors The leadership at Inter Valley Health Plan saw that Service To Seniors was meeting a very important need in the community. It was also highly successful. Because of this, in 2002, Inter Valley Health Plan closed its commercial product to focus entirely on its Medicare members. For Your Vitality Every year, members—and the community-at-large—are invited to attend several monthly Vitality events and classes for free. These events and classes cover everything from nutrition and label reading to Maintaining a Healthy Brain to How to use your Smartphone camera and more. In addition to offering the Vitality events and classes at senior centers, we also take activities directly to the senior living communities where residents may not be as mobile. For a full list of our upcoming events and classes, please visit ivhp.com/vitality A Voice for our Members To provide an even more direct voice for members, Inter Valley Health Plan created the Member Advisory Council. Since 2001, a varied group of current Inter Valley Health Plan members meets quarterly to provide recommendations on current programs and health strategies for the future. The group helps our health plan keep a finger on the pulse of member needs. Looking Ahead Our future promises to be bright as well.
