What is your BMI

Next time you visit your primary care physician, ask your doctor to calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index). BMI is a simple calculation of height and weight and it should be recorded in your chart—just like taking your blood pressure every visit. Remind your doctor by asking them “what’s my BMI?”
BMI alone is not diagnostic, but it’s just one of the many factors related to developing a chronic disease (such as heart disease, cancer, or diabetes). So, be aware and protect yourself from future disease by being informed.
